3D Laboratory Operations Fellowship
The Stanford Radiology 3D Laboratory has been in operation since 1996, and has processed over 30,000 examinations since inception. Our Lab operations include clinical, research, education, and industrial applications.
Curriculum
The curriculum for this fellowship includes instruction in all aspects of 3D Laboratory management. Upon completion of a Visiting Fellowship, the participant will have an increased understanding of the following:
- Physical laboratory setup (location, network integration, ergonomics)
- Range of referral possibilities
- Alternative income sources
- 3D workflow
- 3D exam protocols
- Job descriptions
- 3D billing and reimbursement
- 3D reporting
- 3D database management
- 3D technologist training and learning curve
- 3D Quality Assurance
By arrangement in advance, participants may additionally choose to:
- Observe the acquisition of imaging data using multi-row detector CT or magnetic resonance imaging in an out patient setting
- Participate in interpretation sessions with faculty
- Interact with faculty, students, and post-doctoral fellows who are developing the tools to facilitate new applications, such as computer aided lesion detection and virtual colonoscopy.
Fees (four person maximum per visit)
We have created a fee structure that can be tailored to meet your professional goals. You may schedule your one-day visit for four or eight hours. Additional days may be spent observing 3D lab operations if desired.
- $600 per person, 4 hours of operations instruction, 4 hours 3D Laboratory observation (8 hours total)
- $400 per person, 4 hours of operations instruction, including some 3D Laboratory observation (4 hours total)
- $400 per person, 8 hours of 3D Laboratory observation
- $200 per person, 4 hours of 3D Laboratory observation
