Improving Radiologist Detection of Lung Nodules with Computer-aided Detection (Geoff Rubin, Principal Investigator):
Modern imaging of the lung results in many hundreds of thin-section CT images that. In many settings, must be searched for the existence of pulmonary nodules, which can be as small as 2 mm in diameter. The goals of this project are to develop and evaluate computer-aided interpretation methods that improve the efficiency and diagnostic accuracy of radiologists reviewing these examinations. |
